Max Mctavish - Soft rock guitar vocalist

Max Mctavish

Max Mctavish
Soft rock guitar vocalist
Born February 1976 in Derby U.K. Max or Mark is the eldest son of three. Max was a nick name that Mark had acquired as a teenager and it's stuck with him. Max has been playing guitar since high school and has become a proficient player, often praised for his edgy sound and tone, he produces a great feel and bluesy style injected with rock and roll attitude, not for the faint hearted... However Max can also sing and play slower more placid style ballads, once again his tone and feel are second to few..

As a teenager Max discovered the Beatles and was immediately hooked, there hasn't been a day since he hasn't thought about making music or playing guitar to his favourite tunes. The first song Max learnt to play was 'I want to hold your hand' by The Beatles, he recalls wanting to play the intro riff so bad he stayed awake all night making his fingers bleed to play first two chords of the famous intro. Max soon moved into heavier territory with tracks from artists such as Dire Straits, The Eagles, Gary Moore, Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd to but a few. Max's Show is a blend of rock pop&soul from as far back as the 60's, Max reveals he has never felt more current than he does now and feels his playing and vocal prowess is maturing every day he plays, he still learns from everyone he meets and is inspired by them too.

Artists covered in the show include:
Chris Rea, Eagles, Dire Straits, Otis Reading, Deacon Blue, Lionel Richie, Bad Company, The Beatles, Paul Carrack, Billie Ocean, Temptations, Commitments, Status Quo, Pink Floyd, Gary Moore, Thin Lizzy, Steelers Wheel, Bryan Adams, Travis, Stereophonics, Fleetwood Mac, Robbie Williams, Eric Clapton, The Shadows, Van Morrison, Steve Harley, Eddie Cochrane, Crowded House, Lynyrd Skynyrd, James, Procol Harum, Joni Mitchell and many more
