Brian Poole - 60's recording artist

Brian Poole

Brian Poole
60's recording artist

Brian Poole was the lead singer of the Tremeloes, who in 1960 were signed to Decca Records and were used as a vocal backing band for many top recording artistes until they had their first hit, Twist&Shout, which went to No. 3 in the charts. Next came their massive No.1, Do You Love Me, Candyman (no. 4), Someone Someone (no. 2) plus many more top twenty hits including Three Bells, I Want Candy, Keep on Dancing and Good Lovin'.

In the early 70's Brian and the Tremeloes had gone their separate ways, with Brian pursuing a solo career and at the same time forming his own record company (Outlook Records).

Now with his own backing band, The Electrix, whose line-up consists of keyboards, lead guitar, bass guitar and drums, with vocal harmonies added to give the band a great Rock 'n' Roll sound when playing all the hits, as well as a contemporary feel likened to some of the great American bands. All this plus a light show makes them one of the most popular bands around today.
